@FGCU_WGOLF Continues Action At Morehead State Ocala Invitational

OCALA, Fla. – After finishing eighth in the JMU Eagle Landing invitational, the FGCU women’s golf team will play its final tournament before entering the Atlantic Sun Championship this weekend. The team will travel to Ocala to compete in the Morehead State Ocala Spring Invitational beginning on Sunday.

The invitational is hosted by Morehead State University at the Juliette Falls Golf Club in Dunnellon, Fla. The course is more than 7,200 yards, with a par-72.

Lasting three days, the invitational will have the specific tee times for the two days before finishing with a shotgun start in the final round of play on Tuesday. 

The Eagles will utilized a lineup of have Briana Carlson (Inverness, Fla./Citrus High School), Sara Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy), Chelsea Guoynes (Traverse City, Mich./Traverse City Central High School), Georgia Price (Bude, England/Fort Myers High School) and Mei Khuan Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia/S.M.K. Cochrane) in team play.

Megan VanEtten (Trinity, Fla./J.W. Mitchell High School) and Rebecca VanEtten (Trinity, Fla./J.W. Mitchell High School) will represent the Eagles as individuals.

Following the Ocala Invitational, the Eagles will travel to Jacksonville to compete in the Atlantic Sun Championship from April 14-16.
