DOVER, Del. - Eagles rolled to a 4-0 victory over Delaware State to win their third straight match. Lindsay Haw and Amber McCall both record a pair of goals to improve the Eagles record to 3-0.

 

Sophomore Amber McCall (Fort Myers, Fla.) finished the game with a season high four points on two goals. The Fort Myers native gave tallied her first multi-goal game of her career one first half goal in the 39th minute and one second half goal in the 80th minute.

 

Freshman Lindsay Haw (Palm City, Fla.) recorded her first multi-goal game finishing with five points on two goals and one assist.

The Eagles got on the board first with a goal by McCall at 39:34 in the first half. Haw recorded her fourth assist of the season.

The Eagles increased their lead to 2-0 as Lindsey Haw scored her third goal of the season as junior Courtney Eppleman (Fort Myers, Fla.) sent a beautiful ball into the box where Haw had positioned.

McCall would add her second goal in the 80th minute to put the Eagles up by three. Freshman Caytlan MacKenzie (Calgary, Canada), registered her third assist of the season as she cross passed to McCall to push the Eagles lead to 3-0.

In the 82nd minute, Lindsey Haw gave the Eagles a 4-0 lead on her fourth goal of the season. MacKenzie recorded her second assist of the game and her fourth of the year.

“The intensity was great,” said head coach Jim Blankenship, “we worked hard all week, we came out and played the way we were supposed to and it paid off.”

The Eagles look to continue their three game win streak as they travel to Washington D.C at face Howard on Sunday September 9th at 11:00 am.
