Eagles Top Camels, 3-0
The Eagles got their first conference win of the year after tying both Kennesaw State and Mercer at home, 1-1.
After a scoreless first half that saw the Eagles get out shot 7-3, FGCU came out strong in the second half, scoring three goals in a span of 4 minutes, 29 seconds. Freshman Amanda Goble (Lutz, Fla.) got the Eagles on the board at 60:29 when she collected the ball at the top of the box and got her shot over the right side of Camels goalie Boomie Luck. Just over two minutes later the Eagles would strike again as sophomore Lindsay Haw (Palm City, Fla.) collected a rebound off a Caytlan MacKenzie (Calgary Alberta, Canada) shot and deflected it past Luck for the goal.
FGCU rapped up the scoring four minutes later when junior Amber McCall (Ft. Myers, Fla.) headed in a failed clearing attempt by a Camel defender.
