Women's Soccer to put on Youth Clinic Prior to Game vs. No. 8 Duke on March 28

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU women’s soccer team will participate in a community endeavor Saturday afternoon, March 28, hosting a soccer clinic for girls 14 and under at the FGCU Soccer Complex at 4 p.m. Following the clinic is a women’s soccer game against No. 8 Duke at 6 p.m. The cost is $5.00 per person and tickets are on sale now.

FGCU, a striving young program, coupled with the veteran Duke Blue Devils should make the event a fun filled affair. Duke is one of the elite programs in the country with Six NCAA College Cup appearances nationally, and most recently a finished their season in the Elite Eight.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to partner with Duke University for this event,” said head women’s soccer coach Jim Blankenship. “The clinic is offered to young female players in the community and is a great opportunity for thriving soccer players. We thank Power and Embassy Suites for supporting this project”

The clinic will be held at the FGCU Soccer Complex, located between Swanson Stadium and Alico Arena.
