FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU women’s soccer senior KC Correllus (Merritt Island, Fla./Satellite HS/Florida State), has finished the regular season on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Women’s National Division I Top 100 Players list updated on Wednesday.

Correllus started the year at No. 98 on the list and finished No. 100 becoming the only player from the Atlantic Sun Conference represented. The rankings include student-athletes that are seniors, juniors and sophomores, and have been updated on a weekly basis. Correllus was one of 25 players from a non-BCS school that made the list.

Correllus helped FGCU capture its second straight A-Sun regular season crown, headlining a defense that only allowed one goal in conference and posted a league-best 11 shutouts, including a streak of nine straight from Sept. 18-Oct. 21. Corellus was named A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 17.

A product of Merritt Island, Fla., Correllus has been instrumental in leading an FGCU defense that has held all A-Sun opponents to 10 shots or less and ranks first in goals against average (0.70).

The Green and Blue finished the regular season with a 12-4-2 record and a 7-1-1 mark in the A-Sun. The Eagles are going into their first-ever post-season tournament as the No. 1 seed and will host the A-Sun semifinals and championship game at the FGCU Soccer Complex.

FGCU will play the winner of the quarterfinal game between fifth-seeded North Florida at fourth-seeded Belmont. The Eagles will host the winner at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, while the 4 p.m. game will feature ETSU vs. the winner of sixth-seeded Mercer at third-seeded Jacksonville.
