Women’s Soccer to Hold Annual Winter ID Clinic

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fresh off of defending their regular season A-Sun title Jim Blankenship, this year’s Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year, and the FGCU women’s soccer staff would like to open registration for their first annual Winter ID Clinic at the FGCU Soccer Complex on Saturday, December 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost for the clinic is $95 and it is open to all high school age players. To sign up, email Jason Dowiak at jdowiak@fgcu.edu. The first 60 players to e-mail and submit their full payment will be accepted.

FGCU is currently 12-3-3 on their 2012 campaign and with the No. 1 seed the FGCU Women’s Soccer Team will again host the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament in which it will play the No. 6 seed Jacksonville in the semi-finals. The Eagles are now 69-28-13 in six seasons under Blankenship and are the three-time defending A-Sun Regular Season champions and reigning Tournament Champions. Over its current three-year run as A-Sun regular season champs FGCU has posted an impressive 24-2-4 record in league play.
The Eagles are currently No. 49 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 64 projections, No. 66 in the latest NCAA RPI and tied for 10th in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Southeast Poll.
