FORT MYERS, Fla. - With the first days of practice in the books, FGCU's head women's soccer coach Jim Blankenship announced the hire of assistant coach Henry Singleton on Friday.

Prior to joining the Green and Blue, Singleton served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he primarily assisted in match analysis and worked with various programs to analyze training and performance.

Additionally, Singleton gained experience as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Alderson Broaddus University (W.Va.), and previously served as head coach of the West Virginia 97G Olympic Development Program.

Singleton played collegiately at the University of North Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology.

“I would like to thank coach Blankenship, and Director of Athletics, Ken Kavanagh, for giving me this opportunity,” Singleton said. “It is a privilege to be a member of the FGCU family, and I look forward to joining a program that has created a winning tradition. I’m excited to help build upon their success.”
