Winners of three-straight regular season and back-to-back tournament A-Sun titles, head coach Jim Blankenship, the 2012 Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year, and the FGCU women’s soccer staff announced the dates for their annual Elite Soccer Camp for the summer 2013.

The FGCU women's soccer team recently took time out of their busy schedules to assist the Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties in building a new house. The Eagles spent the day constructing the home and making sure the roof was secure on a new house in the community.

The FGCU women’s soccer team signed five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent after the opening of the national signing period. The Eagles have added Lauren Knight, Ashley Parks, transfer Paulina Speckmaier, Tabitha Tindell, and Yazmin Velez.

Freshman Ally Kasun (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield HS) of the FGCU women’s soccer team has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region Second Team.

TopDrawerSoccer.com released its list of Atlantic Sun Conference Postseason Top 20 Players. The FGCU women’s soccer team landed a league-best five players on the list, led by redshirt senior defender Ashley Ciesielczyk (Oregon, Ohio/Clay HS), who came in at No. 2 overall.

After winning is second-straight Atlantic Sun Tournament Championship last weekend, the FGCU women’s soccer team (13-3-3, 7-1-1 A-Sun) will take on No. 10 Florida (17-4-1, 11-2 SEC) in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, Friday at 3 p.m. at the James G. Pressly Stadium. This is the second-straight year the Eagles have been matched up with the Gators in the opening round.
