Fort Myers, Fla. – The FGCU Women’s Soccer team looks to remain unbeaten this weekend as they host a pair of matches at the FGCU Recreation Field.  In the program’s first season, the team is 4-0-0 while outscoring their opponents 21-3.  Last weekend the Eagles were on the road for the first time, and they responded well, defeating Delaware State 4-0 and Howard 4-1.  Offensively, FGCU was led by sophomore midfielder Amber McCall (four goals, eight points) and freshman forward Lindsey Haw (two goals, two assists and six points).  Defensively, junior goalkeeper Emily earned Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Week honors with her two wins and one shutout.

Friday night at 7:00pm, FGCU takes on the St. Thomas Bobcats.  They come into the match with a record of 4-1-0 after defeating Flagler College 3-1 on Saturday.  Shanoska Young (F, Fr.) scored a pair of goals, while Alexa Livingston (F, Fr.) also scored.  Lea Jones (GK, So.) saved eight shots to record the win.

On Sunday, the Eagles will take on the Toledo Rockets at 1:00pm.  The Rockets come in to this weekend with a 2-1-1 record.  Last weekend they defeated Detroit 5-1 and Wright State 1-0, both at home.  Molly Cornwall (F, So.) leads the Rockets in every offensive category (four goals, four assists and 12 points), and was also named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week last week.  Toledo will square off against Florida Atlantic on Friday at 4:30pm, also at FGCU.

Next weekend the Eagles will play just one match, taking on Murray State at home on Sunday at 11:00am.
