FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lady Eagles are taking on the nationally ranked Duke Blue Devils this Saturday night, but the excitement for this event starts even earlier.

Friday night at 7 p.m. a Women’s College Recruitment Seminar will be held by Jim Blankenship (FGCU Head Coach), Robbie Church (Duke Head Coach), and Mario Rincon (FGCU Assistant Coach) at the Outdoor Sports Complex at Florida Gulf Coast University. This will be an informative session for any female soccer players aspiring to play at the collegiate level.

Saturday’s events kick off at 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. with mini games to be played at both the recreational field and game field, with different club teams from the area. The Youth Clinic starts at 4:00 p.m. on the FGCU game field with both FGCU and Duke Players conducting the sessions with all the kids. While the kids enjoy time with the college players, parents are welcome to check out a FYSA Parent/Player Module Presentation presented by Virgil Stringfield, Director of Educational Services for the state of Florida, and Mike Strickler, Director of Coaching and Player Development for the state of Florida, in the VIP room of the Outdoor Sports Complex.

Also, prior to the game both Head Coaches will meet with the Fans to discuss a Pre and Post game Analysis, which will include their game plan preparation. This meeting will be held in the VIP room of the Outdoor Sports Complex at 5:15-5:30 p.m.

The main event, FGCU Lady Eagles vs. the Duke Blue Devils will start at 6:00 p.m. The fun-filled weekend culminates with an autograph session for all fans.

Over 1,200 tickets have been sold. Tickets are still available at the gate for $5.00 dollars. Come and join the excitement and see two quality programs go against each other.
