Women's Soccer Announces Camp Dates

FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU head women’s soccer coach Jim Blankenship and his staff have announced the dates for their 2011 Elite Soccer Camps. Blankenship and his staff will hold a Jr. Elite Camp (June 14-18) and an Elite Camp (June 25-29) at the FGCU Soccer Complex, as well as a Day Camp (August 1-5).

Ages: 10-13
Cost: $495.00 - Overnight Campers

Elite Camp
June 25 - 29 2010
Ages: 13-18
Cost: $495.00 - Overnight Campers

Objective: This elite residential camp is designed to improve the skill level and tactical understanding of all players. Practice sessions will be intense and very competitive to challenge at every level of the player’s ability. This camp is also staffed by college and O.D.P. coaches!

Objective: This day camp is designed for players wanting to learn the fundamental skills of soccer. Individual instruction emphasizes the use of correct techniques.

Blankenship led FGCU to an 11-4-2 overall record and an unbeaten 8-0-2 A-Sun mark to claim its first-ever regular season championship in the program’s short four-year history in 2010. FGCU’s unbeaten conference record is the 11th of its kind in A-Sun history and the sixth since the league left divisions following the 1998 season. Under Blankenship’s tutelage at FGCU, eight Eagles have been named to A-Sun All-Conference teams and four players have earned Player or Freshman of the Year.
