FORT MYERS, Fla. – Two days after winning its second-straight Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament crown, the Florida Gulf Coast University women’s soccer team sits tied for 10th in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire Southeast Regional Ranking, announced Tuesday.

FGCU went 2-0 last week with wins over Jacksonville and Mercer to claim the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament title for the second straight year. Freshman Ally Kasun’s (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield HS) goal in 93rd minute of overtime gave the top-seeded FGCU women’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over second-seed Mercer in the championship game.
Sophomore Shannen Wacker (Parker, Colo./Ponderosa HS) leads the team with 25 points and 11 goals this season. Senior defender Ashley Ciesielczyk (Oregon, Ohio/Clay HS) has tallied a team-high 11 assists in 20 games for the Eagles.
Freshman keeper Brittany Brown (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena HS) has started the last 18 games in goal for the Eagles, holding a 13-2-3 record on the season with a 0.58 goals-against average and has tallied seven shutouts.
