Mario Rincon is entering his third year as an assistant coach for the FGCU women’s soccer program.
Mario Rincon brings ten years previous experience with him to FGCU. Prior to FGCU, Rincon spent a pair of seasons at Wright State. He has also had previous stops at three other Division I schools. While at Wright State, Rincon helped lift the Raiders to a 23-8-5 mark over his two seasons while producing five All-Horizon League honorees.
Prior to his two seasons at Wright State, Rincon spent two seasons at Baylor. During his tenure, the Bears had one player selected to the Big XII Second Team and two to the All-Rookie Team. Baylor's 2004 recruiting class was nationally ranked by Soccer Buzz and eight players were named to the Academic All-Big XII team.
Rincon has also spent one season at Duke, where the recruiting class was ranked eighth by Soccer Buzz. He also helped in the development of the 2002 First Team Atlantic Coast Conference goalkeeper, who was also selected on the All-Tournament Team and was part of the Icelandic National Team for Pre-World Cup qualifying. In 2001, Rincon was an assistant coach at the University of Miami as the Hurricanes advanced to the NCAA Tournament. There he assisted in the development of the first player invited to the Mexican National Team.
Rincon was also an assistant at Lynn University for three years and was a part of the Division II national championship squad in 1998. Lynn was the national runner-up in 1996 and advanced to the semifinals in 1997. Rincon, who holds a United Soccer Federation A License and a NSCAA Advanced National License, earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Lynn.
