FGCU Women's Tennis Drops Match to Barry

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University was defeated 8-1 Saturday in women’s tennis by No. 5 Barry University at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
For the third time in four matches, the Eagles lost to one of the top-15 ranked teams in NCAA Division II. The loss drops FGCU to 12-9. Barry improves to 15-2.
The only winner for FGCU was freshman Lesley Anne Passolt (Plymouth, Minn., who captured a two-set victory at No. 6 singles. The Bucs captured all three doubles matches.
FGCU hosts Nova Southeastern on Sunday morning at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
