No. 22 Women's Tennis Rained Out

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The toughest opponent in the early going for the the No. 22 Florida Gulf Coast University women's tennis team has been the weather. For the second straight week, the Eagles season opener was cancelled due to inclement weather. Weather forced the cancellation of the Eagles match at NAIA power Embry-Riddle on Saturday afternoon. Last weekend the Eagles opener at Webber International was also cancelled due to rain. No make-up date has yet been announced. FGCU will now open its season on February 23 when it hosts No. 6 Lynn at the FGCU Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
