Women's Tennis Drops Season Opener

FORT MYERS, Fla., - The FGCU women's tennis team opened up the 2008 season with a 7-0 loss to #28 USF on Saturday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex. The Eagles fall to 0-1 while USF moves to 1-0.
USF took the doubles point, sweeping all three matches. Jessica Zok and Jessica Sweeting won at the #1 position over Maria Maggiorini and Maria Braniecka 8-4. The Bulls also took all six singles matches from FGCU as well.
The Eagles will be in action again on Friday when they open up the FGCU/Johan Kriek Classic at 2:00 pm.
