FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU women’s tennis team wrapped up the Johan Kriek Classic on Monday, and the Eagles’ Priscillia Villemond earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.  Villemond earned a great victory on Saturday afternoon, outlasting Stetson’s Valentina Galbarini 6-4, 1-6, 7-5, in a match that lasted more than three hours.  Eva Sambrano also picked up a win in singles for FGCU against Stetson’s Breanna Atkinson, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.

 

Also on Saturday, the Eagles picked up a couple more singles wins against the University of Akron.  Joanne Power knocked off Carolina Castro Cota in straight sets, 7-6 (4), 6-3, and Leah Johnson defeated Alyssa Carlson also in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
