GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Senior Jen Evans (Fort Myers, Fla./Evangelical Christian HS) earned a singles victory as the FGCU women’s tennis team completed Day Two at the USTA/ITA Regional in Gainesville, Fla.

Evans won in straight sets against FAMU’s Bethany Holt, 6-2, 6-2. In the next round of the singles consolation Evans fell to Karyn Guttormsen from FIU in a three set battle, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

Sophomore Gyanna Mandic (Oshowa, Canada/Edison Academies) lost in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, against Miami’s Brittany Dubins.

Junior Morgan Bechtel (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) lost 6-1, 6-2, to Jenna Doerfler from UCF.
