FGCU Women's Tennis Falls to #15 Northwood

LAKELAND, Fla. – The 15th ranked Northwood (Mich.) University women’s tennis team improved to 15-0 with an 8-1 win over Florida Gulf Coast University on Thursday afternoon. The Timberwolves won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles to remain undefeated. The Eagles, who lost their second straight match, fall to 11-8. The only winner for FGCU was senior Angie Mykieta, a two-set winner at No. 5 singles. The Timberwolves, who feature two of the top-50 ranked players in Division II, captured four of the five singles matches in two sets. No. 39 Sue Rossano rallied to beat Eagles freshman Maria Maggiorini 1-6, 6-3, and 10-3, for her 15th singles victory.
