ATLANTA, Ga. – Priscillia Villemond won a pair of matches Saturday, advancing to the quarterfinals in the consolation draw at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southeast Championships, being held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. Farah Leclercq fell in the first round of the consolation draw.
Villemond (Les Bordes, France) started the day with a straight-set victory over Stetson’s Natilie Gorham, 7-5, 6-2. The Eagles top singles player then dispatched of Mercer’s Amaila Bugge quickly, winning 6-2, 6-1. With the win, Villemond continues on to the quarterfinals, where she will face South Florida’s Ecaterina Vasenina.
Farah Leclercq (Ocala, Fla.) was knocked out of the consolation draw in the first round by Florida International’s Priscilla Castillo, falling 6-0, 6-1.
