ATLANTA, Ga. – Priscillia Villemond, the lone remaining Eagle at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional Championships, was knocked out of the consolation draw on Sunday, falling in the quarterfinals.

Villemond (Les Bordes, France), who won a pair of matches on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinal round of the consolation draw, was defeated on Sunday by South Florida’s Ecaterina Vasinena, 6-1, 6-2. Farah Leclercq, FGCU’s other representative at the tournament, was knocked out in the first round of the consolation draw on Saturday.

With Villemond eliminated, no Eagles remain in either the men’s or the women’s ITA regional tournaments. This marks the conclusion of the 2009 fall season for both Eagle tennis teams. The women will begin play in the 2010 spring season hosting the Eagle Invitational, scheduled to begin on January 16th. The men are also scheduled to open the spring season on January 16th, hosting Florida A&M at 11 a.m.
