FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU women’s tennis team will look to close out the fall portion of the schedule as it heads to Lakewood Ranch, Fla. to participate in the Lakewood Ranch Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic on Nov. 12-14.
The Lakewood Ranch Clay Court Classic offers a unique experience for collegiate players around the country, as it is the only intercollegiate tournament that is played on clay. The tournament will feature 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. Play will begin Friday with doubles starting at 9 a.m. and singles at 12:30 p.m. Student-athletes from six schools - Miami, Notre Dame, Baylor, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and FGCU -- are set to compete.
Travelling to the event for the Blue and Green will be senior Iris Rendon (San Antonio, Texas/Tyler Junior College), sophomores Melissa Narzissenfeld (Tampa, Fla./Academy of the Holy Names), Morgan Bechtel (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) and Bibiana Almeida (Porto, Portugal/Schiller International School), as well as, freshman Gyanna Mandic (Oshowa, Canada/Edison Academies).

4:30 p.m. – 2nd round Singles
