Women's Tennis to Square Off With Two A-Sun Foes

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU women’s tennis team looks to continue its Atlantic Sun Conference slate by competing against a pair of league opponents at the FGCU Tennis Complex. The Eagles will matchup against Campbell on Thursday and return for a meeting with USC Upstate on Saturday, at 4 p.m. and 10 a.m., respectively.
Coming off a 6-1 loss to Stetson in the league opener, FGCU brings a 3-1 (0-1 A-Sun) record into the Thursday competition with the Camels.
Six student-athletes will be competing in the pair of duals, including senior Iris Rendon (San Antonio, Texas/Tyler Junior College), sophomores Bibiana Almeida (Porto, Portugal/Schiller International School), Morgan Bechtel (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) and Melissa Narzissenfeld (Tampa, Fla./Academy of the Holy Names), as well as, freshmen Bettina Botha (Cape Town, South Africa/De Kuilen HS) and Gyanna Mandic (Oshowa, Canada/Edison Academies).
The Camels hold a 3-4 record with wins over Howard (3-2), Georgetown (4-1) and Hampton (7-0). The Spartans take their 0-7 mark into their Thursday contest with Stetson.
