As A Senior (2012-13)
Complied an 8-10 singles dual match record overall while playing four matches in the No. 3 spot and 12 matches in the No. 4 spot ... Put together a 7-5 record at the No. 4 spot in her senior campaign ... Played in the No. 1 doubles spot for FGCU and collected five wins against the opposition's best pairs ... Won six out of seven singles matches in a span that included wins over St. John's (Feb. 26), Penn (Mar. 8), Northern Kentucky (Mar. 16) and Mercer (Mar. 22) ... Put together two three match win streaks during the season with two of the wins coming against A-Sun competition ... Found success on the road by winning three road singles matches and three road doubles matches in hostile territory.
As A Junior (2011-12)
A-Sun All-Academic team
Named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference team … competed in all 21 matches on the year … went 10-10 in dual matches, highlighted by a 6-3 A-Sun record … had a 7-5 record at No. 4 singles and had a four-match winning streak from Mar. 1 through Mar. 7 … played as high as No. 2 singles with a victory against Fabiana Mersan (Belmont) … led the team with six A-Sun victories against Kennesaw State’s Jana Hueckinghaus, Amanda Bertani (Mercer), Hannah Al-Sakati (USC Upstate), Djessika Bezerra (Jacksonville) and Clarke Tatje (Stetson) … in doubles play, paired with Marina Diez and had a 7-13 dual match record with a 4-5 A-Sun mark … earned three non-conference victories at No. 1 doubles and defeated Isabel von Stryk and Talia Rojas from USC Upstate … won two doubles matches in a row after taking down Jacksonville’s Gabriela Bartos and Veronique Spencer, while defeating Shannon Gunning and Lindsey Cable (Stetson) ... helped the Eagles earn a No. 3 seed in their first-ever A-Sun tournament.
As A Sophomore (2010-11)
Competed in all 18 matches on the year … led the team with a 10-8 record, highlighted with a 6-4 record in Atlantic Sun competitions … held a 8-9 record in doubles play with a 5-5 mark in A-Sun play … opened the season with seven consecutive victories, defeating FAU (Feb. 12), Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 13), FAMU (Feb. 20) and Campbell (Mar. 3) at No. 4, Stetson (Feb. 26) at No. 5, USC Upstate (Mar. 5) at No. 3 and Toledo at No. 2 singles … made a quick ascent to No. 1 singles and posted back-to-back A-Sun victories against Belmont (Mar. 17) and Lipscomb (Mar. 19) … teamed with Melissa Narzissenfeld to earn a pair of victories at No. 3 doubles to open the season against FAU (Feb. 12) and Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 13) … paired with Gyanna Mandic at No. 2 doubles for a win against USC Upstate (Mar. 5) and five straight victories over Mercer (Mar. 12), George Washington (Mar. 14), Belmont, Lipscomb and UMBC (Mar. 21).
As A Freshman (2009-10)
Named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshmen team ... led FGCU with 13 singles victories against just five losses ... played all but one match at position No. 6 ... was also the top player in conference matches for the Eagles, going a near-perfect 9-1 in A-Sun competition.
2009 Graduate of St. Ursula Academy ... named first team all-state in singles as a senior ... ranked third in the state in doubles as a senior.
Resort and hospitality management major … daughter of Rick & Jane Bechtel … favorite athletes are Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova... chose FGCU because of the location, a campus that was both new and beautiful, and for the strong academics ... … father played collegiate tennis at the University of South Florida and at Bowling Green State University.
