Junior: Posted a 3-2 singles record primarily at the back end of the eagle’s rotation...Joanne helped FGCU to their first ever Division I win over Bethune-Cookman’s Reijina Hopkins winning 6-1, 6-1 in straight sets.
Sophomore: Finished with a 1-2 record in singles action…All matches were at the #6 position…Went 2-1 in doubles action…Played one match at #2 doubles with Lydia Diaz, and two with Brett Kinley at the #3 doubles spot.
Freshman: Finished with impressive 6-1 record in No. 6 dual-match singles play...Went 3-1 in No. 3 dual-match doubles...Had a 3-1 singles record against Division I foes.
High School: Attended Schiller American Academy in Barcelona, Spain…Graduated in 2005.
Personal: Born in Dublin, Ireland…Son of Bernard and Anne Power…Majoring in Resort and Hospitality Management…Lists tennis as favorite sport to watch…Career aspiration is to manage a successful hotel…Chose FGCU because it is small, intimate, and has a good Resort and Hospitality Management program.
