The FGCU softball team's quest for their first-ever Atlantic Sun Conference tournament title and bid to an NCAA Regional begins this coming Thursday at 12:30 p.m., when they face the winner of Wednesday's game between fourth-seeded Lipscomb and fifth-seeded Jacksonville in the A-Sun championship at Cyrill Stadium on the campus of third-seeded USC Upstate.

After claiming a share of the Atlantic Sun conference regular season title, five FGCU softball players picked up postseason honors on Tuesday, highlighted by freshman Shelby Morgan being named Pitcher of the Year, announced by the league office. The A-Sun All-Conference teams are voted on by the conference head coaches.

FGCU Softball Announces Summer Camp Dates

The FGCU softball program has announced its summer softball camp dates for girls of all skill levels, ages 12 and up. FGCU head coach Dave Deiros will host the camp, while assistant coach Alycia Bachkora and members of the 2012 squad will help run the sessions as well.
